A Dental Accident is an accidental injury to natural teeth caused by a direct blow to the mouth that is not by an object consciously or unconsciously placed in the mouth (i.e., eating) that happened while the coverage is active, (i.e., a fall, a hit to the mouth or from playing sports).
The Dental Accident benefit is an extended health benefit and is a separate benefit from dental coverage.
You might qualify for dental accident coverage through your benefit plan. To determine eligibility, check your benefit booklet.
