Why would a dependent profile be changed to a self-managed account?

There are many reasons why you might want to change a profile to a self-managed account, including:

• A dependent who ages into adulthood and would like to maintain their medical history from GreenShield Pharmacy , but upgrade their account from a dependent to full account

• A previously-dependent user has gained ability to self-manage their own medications

• The patient wants full privacy from their caregiver

Note: This process is also called ‘user emancipation’.
